db clay "red sideline" ductbill $25

Sinced its invention during world war two as waterproof sealing tape for ammunition cases, duct tape quickly became the universal remedy for thousands of projects outside its original use. (ironically, though, it's been deemed ineffective for ductwork.)
portland-based db clay ("when we think, empires fall") painstakingly folds and cuts 15 feet of duct tape by hand to make each of its shiny ductbills. although svelte, you still get four pockets and a bill compartment.
these sleek and waterproof babies wear in extremely well and (like denim) just get better with age. each is sure to be a conversation piece wherever you roam.
- color: red and white stripes on natural silver base
- material: 100% duct tape
- size: 4.25"w x 3.25"h folded
- origin: portland
- price: $25
