about the artist
kazuko shinoka first got an associate's degree in culinary arts at shiten noji international buddhist college in osaka, japan, then went on to earn her bachelor's in design at cal state, los angeles. she designed for several magazines back in japan until she landed her dream job working at sanrio, home of hello kitty.

kazuko lives in hollywood now with her own kitty, princess sachi marie shinoka. cats, her one true love, serve as the main source of inspiration in her designs.
